Schwab
A Schwab API connection for your trading terminal.
The Schwab connector is a live connection to your own Charles Schwab account through the Schwab API. It feeds market data and account state into DeltaForge and gives you a panel to sign in and watch the connection.
You use the Client ID and Client Secret of your own Schwab individual developer app. Both are stored as secrets on your Mac. Install the connector from the Store inside the app.
What the Schwab connector provides
- Market data over the Schwab REST API and live streaming.
- Balances, positions, and executions for the account you select, plus the list of your accounts.
- Futures options, with Schwab's futures-option symbols resolved automatically.
Sign-in and the connection status panel
You sign in to Schwab in your browser from inside the app. The connector refreshes its access token automatically, and your session survives an app restart. When Schwab's refresh token expires after 7 days, the status panel tells you to sign in again and gives you a button that opens the Schwab login.
The status panel also lets you re-authenticate, log out, connect, and disconnect.
Known limitations of the Schwab API
- Stock bars are not adjusted for dividends, and the Schwab API does not expose dividend history, so this data alone is not suitable for backtesting.
- Historical data per futures contract and expiration is not available through the Schwab API.
Your Schwab account and your AI agent
Your AI agent reads the positions and market data from your Schwab account through the DeltaForge MCP server, and can build panels and tools on top of them.
